I've had some interesting and magical moments these last few days. And I have finally come to a peace of mind on being alone. Its ingrained in us from birth to find a mate. Someone for you to share your every day joys and pains, your special moments with.  When you have that person, the whole world seems to revolve around the two of you. But  today I realized when your alone, when you feel out sync with the rest of the universe you can’t let the doubt beat you down. It may be a little harder and take a little longer but you can see it. The sky is just as blue  and the world still turns. And somewhere he is waiting for you.

Pandora's Call

Cover Art Created By: Alli_Cat

Pandora sat still. Trying her hardest not to breath. The scent of death hung heavy in the air. She couldn't decide which was worse, the smell or the sight of her best friend laying dead on the grown beside her. She wasn't sure how it happened, one minute she was talking on the phone as she walked to her car and the next thing she knew she was waking up disoriented and chained to a metal bolt in the grown, with Isis laying dead beside her.  Her friend laid with her hands bound above her head with duct tape, there was a pool of blood settling beneath her body and the unmistakable sight of her throat having been ripped out. Her eyes were stuck wide open, frozen with a look of pain and fear. She wasn't a crime scene expert, hell she didn't even like watching those kind of TV shows, but Pandora had no doubt that they had been there for more a couple days. Pandora tried to find any place other than her friends body to look but the room was no bigger than a closet and the cuffs on her wrist made it impossible for her to turn around. She had been trying to keep her eyes closed but that hadn't helped either. She had the feeling that if she didn't stay alert and try and pay attention things could easily get worse. Her mind was a blur with activity.  Why did someone kidnap her? Where was she? Why did they kill Isis and what was going to happen to her?

Rain was pounding on the rooftop as Pandora awoke with a start. Panic rose high in her chest as she struggled to pull air into her lungs. She had the dream again. It had become a recurring nightmare since about a month ago, every time Pandora closed her eyes to sleep she would fall deeply into the dream world where she would lie chained to the ground as her best friend's body slowly rotted. That alone would be enough to scare anybody. But the fact that her dream normally carried on to the point of their attackers returning, their bodies hidden in shadow and beneath their black robes, as they defiled her friends body and then brought her corpse back to life only to watch it struggle as they tore it limb from limb. Shivering with a cold that went deep inside her heart, Pandora pulled the blankets around her and sighed. She wasn't sure what was going on or what she should do. She thought about seeing a shrink but decided that it wouldn't do much good. He'd probably decide she was insane and lock her up in the loony bin and that wasn't something she would like to see happen.

Pandora was so deep in thought and worry that it took her a while to notice that she wasn't alone in her bedroom. There sitting in the corner in her favorite chair, an old and worn leather recliner, was a large and definitely scary looking man. Her eyes going wide, Pandora let out a screech, jumping up from the bed and ran towards the bedroom door. Not risking a look behind her she ran through her apartment, stumbling slightly over a pair of her casually discarded shoes. She made it to her apartment door, grabbed the knob and flung it wide open. She was pushing through the doorway when she saw the man lounging in the hall, his back to the wall as he wore a look of grim amusement. There was only one door into her apartment and unless this guy was spider-man, which she doubted, the guy was probably another figment of her imagination coming to torment her. As the man pushed off the wall, Pandora slammed the door shut and threw the deadbolt.

THE WOMAN WHO CAME

The woman who came
Shed her innocence
The woman who came
Clothed sheer in passion
Her beauty held fragile in his hands
His to take
His to own
The woman who came
May know regret
But for now she is possessed

Into The Deep
***************
As I lay my head
I know fear
My dreams are haunted
Plagued by monsters
Forever drug into the deep
The screeches and bellows rage inside
Ripping, shredding, stealing parts of me
As I wake each morning
I know fear
My life is consumed with worry
Monsters lurk behind their faces
Deception is key
As they try to sway me with promises
              I glimpse the monsters
                                              Grabbing for my heels
                                                             Pulling me into the deep
                                                         Running hard, trying to flee
                                                              I stumble into the darkness
                                                        Down down down I go
                                                        No one hears my screams
No one will find my bloodied bones
                                                       Forever into the deep

Check out my INKPOP

There was a monster

He drug me down deep

Forced his will upon me

In the darkness no one heard my screams

Saw my bloodied bones

He demolished my strength

Stole my innocence

                                          He ate my soul

                                            Taking all of me

                                                       The monster in the deep

                                                  Broke ME
